Description of run
This event was first held in 1912 and 1913 and re-started in 1989 to commemorate the original series. It is now held every two years, alternating between England and Holland. A maximum of fifty entries is accepted for the event, split equa1ly between Dutch and English entrants. The event comprises four day of riding the pre-1915 motorcycles. The first two days and the final day involve Social Runs covering 60 to 100 miles per day visiting venues of interest in the area, returning to the venue for dinner in the evening. The third day is a Timed Road Trial in which entrants aim to maintain a fixed average speed over a 60 to 100 mile route.
